About Transom

Transom is an independent research project with two parts: a plain-language glossary of agentic AI and MCP security terminology, and a passive exposure map of internet-facing MCP servers and LLM gateways. The two cross-reference each other.

The exposure map is fingerprint-only. Before any collection tooling runs, read the methodology and research ethics page — it states plainly what we do and what we deliberately do not do.

A related project

Transom is one of two independent projects from the same maker. Aion Security is a separate product for a different audience: free website and domain security scanning. The two do different kinds of work. Aion runs its checks on the domains people submit to it. Transom does only passive, fingerprint-only observation of publicly reachable services, under the rules on the methodology page.
